Natural State
Are we searching for something that doesn’t exist? The harmony with colleagues, the reasonable hours and responsibility at work? The ideal married life?
Where does that exist? Perhaps in a few fiction novels and maybe a few movies.
But the natural state seems to be a constant miscommunication, misinterpretation, missed connections, tragedy, chaos, temper tantrums from people we don’t even like.
And somewhere along the way we find someone else that pauses to show they care, even if for a brief moment. If we’re really lucky we search and find ourselves and we learn to be the only person that cares for us unconditionally.
