Tangible

The past is tangible that’s why regrets feel heavy.

Same reason the happy moments of the past blind us to new opportunities of the present.

It’s not about erasing what has already happened. It’s more about integration of it all as it happens. This and that, not this or that.

This life comes with the full package that must be integrated to our daily experiences. Being at the tropical destination experiencing an epiphany while there’s a jerk next to us. Being able to smile while having 4 months to live. Starting over after being betrayed and lied to by someone we thought we trusted.

There’s solace in thinking about the past experiences because they are tangible, but the paradox is that life must be lived forward with intangible moments to come. Because who knows, the best may very well be yet to be.
