Who Else Gave up?
Michelangelo The DMV Employee. Da Vinci the social worker. Steve Jobs the city bus driver. Alexander the great became Alexander the carpenter. Marcus Aurelius the accountant.
All felt the risk even if they didn’t know the risk. All gave up peace and comfort in exchange for their destiny. The thing is, that it’s unlikely that any of them knew with certainty that their efforts would be rewarded. It’s more likely that all they knew is that they couldn’t stop the direction they were headed regardless of where it took them. And all knew with certainty the comfort they were giving up in the secure job or alternate destiny.
Sometimes we have to leave where we are to be where we need to be.
